When you assault a position it is wise to look at the map first to see if there are any friendlies in front of you, but doing this all the time really breaks immersion. Also it is quite unrealistic to know all team mate's positions. It would be enough to show all squad leader's positions, with identifying color and letter. Then all players would know each squad's AO and this would encourage players to keep in formation with their squad. This would also encourage more communication as it would be advised to report your position if you are on a mission far from your squad leader. It would also be beneficial to squad leaders to know where the other squad leaders are operating when planning missions.
