[Crash] RO2 crash

Since I have my new pc (gaming) I have freeze with map change, lagging gameplay and menu crashes:mad: as if the game is broken or in alpha...:eek: Serious how can u make a game not supported on newer game systems??? Getting a littlebit sick of this stupid support. I read some threads and the guys are even asking what is in your logging files let us know with screenshots or video's how it is crashing and where it is crashing please you Developers should know how to fix a game without every single human out there having crashes or problems with the game -,- even a greenlight game has better performance or support looks like I have thrown away money for a broken game :mad::mad::mad:. And if u wanna know my system (I know it is a system to max out this game) here the details.



Ram: Corsair vengeance 8 gb 1666MHZ

Graphic card: Msi Geforce GTX 770 Gaming 2GB

Processor: Intel Core I5 4670K 3,6 ghz up to 3,8 6mb Cache 4 cores 1,5MB cache per core.



If there is a possible solution to fix this without me needing to make video's screenshots or logging files I am glad to hear them and I appriciate that. Already thanks for reading this.

RS British and Russians in Pacific

Hi all!

I'm new on this forum, so i would like to give few ideas.



First of all, i love this game, and everything this team gave to be so cool.

Most of all, i loved idea to make Rising storm, which is set in the Pacific theatre. Part of ww2 that is so much outshined by Normandy and Russian front in movies/games, but was maybe more brutal than listed one from European theatre.

If not more brutal after all, it is interesting in own way, because there were many nations to fight axis (just like in Europe).



What I want to say is that it would be cool to do what neither ww2 game did.

To put British and Russians in Pacific.



Now before you think i'm crazy, they actually had important roles in that theater.



British fought with Indian, Gurkha, Australian, and even Chinese forces in Burma against Japs.

Now, I know that Burma is "taken" by new map Kobura, but americans actually played smaller role in this land than listed nations.

So you can add map from battles of Kohima or Imphal, and it would be cool if British forces would have skins of Indian and Australian soldiers.

Soviets in other hand, had war with Japan in Mongolia(same time Germans invaded Poland), and in the Manchuria/China(near end of war).

Both battles were important, for last one many think it was real reason for surrender of Japan. Just imagine to see Soviets and Japs in same maps :)





For me it would be cool to see listed armies in maps with Japs, it would be something new..something "fresh".



I know that for realising this ideas, it is maybe required to make whole new game..I'm interesting if it would be maybe possible to put them in actual Rising Storm?

I didn't start this thread to discuss about nations involvement in ww2, I started it to discuss only about this idea, and sorry for bad english.




Full Music Turn-off

Music shorts that appear when attacking, defending, losing and taking territories as well as match victories and defeats... Are part of the Music option in the settings, I would imagine.



Why aren't these turned off when I turn off music in the settings? I for one really don't want the game's music, when I told it not to play music. It's distracting when you have other music playing or when you simply do not want it for whatever reason.

MG 42 problem

As far as I know, MG 42 is available only for VETERAN or HERO. On TWILadder we are limited to FRONTLINE SOLDIER, so MG 42 should NOT be available. But tonight our opponent played with MG42 which SHOULD NOT BE AVAILABLE.



Can we have official statement about this? Is it me who is mistaken or is it a problem with available roles?




RO BOH RO:Ost Fightnight 11.10.14

BOH is giving up it´s RO-game servers. Still we want do one last RO:Ost fightnight in rememberance of old times :). The fightnight will be on 10/11/14, that is a saturday on 20.00 GMT+2. We are looking forward to see some old fellows again.







[Solution] PSA: Arad2 black smoke/dust fixed w/ Catalyst 14.9

If you have an AMD GPU and have noticed the visual glitch of particle effects having a black smudge in the middle of them, this is fixed for me with the AMD Catalyst 14.9 update on my HD7970. Please report back to confirm/deny if you can.




RO2 Minor detail improvements to the game

Now before anyone goes "dis isnt important!!1111!" Yes I know it's a very minor detail issue but I still think it needs to be addressed in a future update.



And try not to vote no because it's "unimportant" to you. I don't think this would take too much effort and time to do.



First off is that we should have a GUI switch option for us players that like/want the original RO2 menu and GUI style. That way it won't be such an annoying experience being forced to look at RS all day. And yes there were a lot of requests for this (I'm using the past tense because the players that want it have mostly left the game or seldom play it now more or less because they got tired of seeing RS instead of what they liked)



Secondly is the game title, there was some reactions to it during RS's intial release on the Steam discussions. And to be honest it's wierd and overly complicated. Changing it to Red Orchestra 2 (without the Heroes of Stalingrad prefix) would be a better thing than "Rising Storm/Red Orchestra 2 Multiplayer" ; It'll be neutral and still be a good representation of the series.



We don't see other games with expansion packs having such a wierd title. (E.G. Company of Heroes 2, Total War Shogun 2)



And another thing is the US victory music in RS. There's a track that fits perfectly for it in the US MP campaign victory video Rising Storm - USA Victory HD - YouTube While the current one just feels like putting Yakety Sax into a horror movie. It just doesn't fit the game.



Well that's that. What do you guys think?

What will be when tickets becomes much more important than time limit?

like the title said. What do you think how it will be played?



I really would like to try some maps with less reinforcements to win/loose a round instead of having a time limit.



e.g. Myshkova River. Time limit could be set to 60-90 Minutes (that should be more then enough). I can´t say how much tickets are needed for each team to make it fair, this need to be tested.



On a empty server this settings are unfair for the defending team, but on a full server it could be very intresting.





I got this idea while playing maps like Myshkova or Univermag on the full 40-1 IOM server. I see a lot of really great teamwork on both sides, but at the end the attackers lost because there wasn´t enough time.



Univermag is win able, but Myshkova need minimum 10 Minutes more, so Germans become a chance to win this map on a full server.





Right now there is nearly no map where we need to take care to our tickets.

Maybe the server can set the timelimit per map and the number of tickets, too?




MG42 Unlock?

Friend of mine is asking why he can't select MG42? I had the MG class and MG34 capped so i'm not sure which he needs to use the gun as I had it unlocked from start?

Is there a way to disable server refresh?

So my friends live in school ubication and the duchebag admin set some ridicilously low number of maximum connections so when they try to log in with IP and get randomly kicked for full server (what a genial system in general might be bug or something) it blacklists them from internet connection. Is there any way to disable server list refreshing or just have some pernament filter set for this inconvenience?

Visible Projectiles

The main thing that frustrated me in RO2, I was new to the game, I see an enemy running across my screen, and i fire and i miss and i don't know if i over compensated for bullet drop, under compensated for bullet drop, shot behind him, or in front of him. It was very difficult to actually learn the characteristics of the projectiles in the game. Please make the projectiles of non hitscan weapons clearly visible so it is easier to learn the characteristics of each weapon. I think KF did a great job of it, so i'm not too concerned about it.




Now that we have light tanks, can we now make the AP rounds pentration correct?

I was just playing ARAD2 in a PZIII and I was no more than 20 feet away from a T34, shot at it's turret ring twice and both bounced off. Come on. Most T34s knocked out in Barbarossa were done with that 37mm cannon and the Panzer IV Ausf G that's in the game was designed to knock out a T34 at any angle up to 1,200 meters, but in game it's hard to penetrate the T34's armor.



Instead of balancing by nerfing the German tanks, balance with the map choices.




RO2 MG42 needs allot more recoil

I am pretty shocked that the MG42 was put in the game so early, especially with the current recoil on the weapon, it's incredibly low! I compared it to the MG34 and even that one had a bigger recoil, the MG42 has a incredible kick, but the current MG feels like there is no kick at all, i just came from a server and within 2 minutes a guy on the mg42 already had 20 kills!



The recoil needs a serious increase, please look at the MG42 from RO ostfront or even better, Darkest Hour, there it was perfect, deadly but a good amount of recoil.



I also noticed that because the MG42 is in the game, everyone rushes over to the axis side, out of 5 maps i played just now, we all lost the rounds with mostly the axis murdering us with the MG42, why not add another weapon for the Russians? The IOM mod already has a worthy mg!




The maps could be night and day type:


game on easy or normal map would be in the morning.

RO2 No Humans in Tank, but still can get in!

I just did a round on Gumrak, i click on NOT let humans join my in my tank, but they constantly did join! The server also was half full so they were not forced in at all! I dont really mind human drivers, except they were really REALLY bad.

SDK crashes when i am trying to launch it, please help

SDk crashes everytime i am launching it. It just loads game files and then stop working.

KF Friends can't connect to my server.

Im hosting my server using the method of Steamcmd.exe (installed separately from Steam) and do it - if i am right it is what i think it is - dedicated. I can join fine. If I invite my friends in it, they say they cannot connect. They tried it with open IP already.



My windows firewall is ON and Killing Floor is allowed in the exception list. Not sure if it counts towards the server executable. Guess I have to try it.



Connection type: Home.



My connection setup is without the router. I am connected directly to my modem.



I talked to my ISP about this issue and they said, they don't have anything regarding so-to-say ports to lock or unlock. So ports can't be the issue.



Perhaps I have some settings to apply too. Unfortunately I registered with steamcmd.exe using my primary account details, when it was advised to use a different one.



Take additional note, that a torrent program of mine works, as it should without applying any settings after installation. That confirms, that there are no ports hindering it.

The maps should have traps already mentioned by other forum members both for the players and for zeds:D:



Laboratory = acid trap in the barrels if broken

Bodyshop = cars fall if we throw or break the piston machines

Sewers = corrosive materials if we break valves



A system of buildings and break things in the scenario environment is always welcome:rolleyes:

[Fix] Issues with Latest Patch (and how I fixed them)

TL/DR fix version: Uninstall your game and delete all the crap you downloaded for the game. Everything. Even the Hello Kitty Hats. After that, re-install, maybe do a defrag in-between. If it works, buy a copy of KF as Ramm needs the gas money.



Normal version:



I started the game after grabbing the patch and had a few issues:



Took five minutes to get the splash screen

Game paused for 3 minutes while loading a map

Ping was in the 400's

FPS was 11 (yes, 11)



I went searching for answers and I found a post by CaF Jack where he said the issues he experienced were similar and they had similarities to running the IoM mod.



That got me to think of all the things I have downloaded throughout the time I have played the game. (patches, maps, texture files, mods, etc.)



So I uninstalled RO (since first installing at launch) and then proceeded to delete every folder attached to RO. Absolutely everything went.



I then defragged my drive (not sure if this helped, your mileage may vary).



Then I installed the game fresh.



Afterwards:



Game takes about 45 seconds to get to the splash screen

game pauses for about 3 seconds on map load

ping was still 400 ?!?!

fps was 55-60 (like it normally was).



So now the ping issue...



I tried a few things, but what worked was to unsubscribe to all the maps in the community workshop. For some reason, they were causing a real drag on my connection while in game and in the server browser.



Afterwords:



I have a normal ping in the server browser

and about an extra 20 ms in game. (not that noticeable, basically normal)



To summarize, I uninstalled and got rid of years (gigs) worth of useless files, that probably were conflicting, and turned off a serious drain on my connection. Simple, brilliant; send donuts.




Perks | Damage system | Missions

We should have the perks a compensation system type:

one berserk would take more damage from a sire or husk but not the other zeds and help another perk like a commando or specialist support.

Forcing users to play as a team with varied fully compensate for the loss of damage of other perks. The game would be more suitable for multiplayer than single player and the system if a case would be given by the single missions with objectives as currently seen for each class containing a story involving all in the end.

This would help to remove the berserk overpowered so the game would be more attractive and challenging.

RO2 How to limit classes

Hi, I tried to play arad map offline with bots (using workshop section in menu) but there are too many tanks for my taste. Is there any way to limit tank numbers or just a way to configure class limits?




Ability to half-reload G41(w)

Title.

When I hit empty mag and in a middle of firefight

(or suddenly find myself in a position where I have to return fire quickly and have empty mag.), why I can't just reload 1 clip?

Would it be difficult to put in-game?




Turn on/turn up sound of tank engines

Just like the topic title says.



Most of the time when I am in a tank, I cannot even hear the tank engines and if I do notice them at all, they are extremely quiet. I do hear the sounds of the tracks clanking, but without the engine sound it just sounds like someone clicking some tongue depressors together.



You lose a lot of the immersion factor because of this when in a tank and that is a shame because of everything else that was done to make tanking a good experience.



Is this a bug? Is it designed this way?




RS Possibility: Drivable Ha-Go

Hello all! Just quickly wanted to say, big fan of RO/RS, and I've wanted to get into the modding scene for a while now.





I don't know if this is common knowledge already, but, you recall the Type 95 Ha-Go that can be seen on Rising Storm maps?









It turns out, it was intended to be drivable at one point, as inside the game files is a fully rigged version with a modeled interior!









But unfortunately as you can see they did not include the texture for it.



Since my modelling/texturing skills are very poor, I was planning to tear out all the untextured parts and replace them with a combination of German and Soviet ones.



I thought about just asking Tripwire for the original texture, although they'll most likely say "absolutely not" or simply ignore the question. But what do you guys think?




UI size control

Seriously, why is this too much asked? A simple slider is all that's needed, now the only options are to remove HUD altogether or play with the oversized nametags and icons cluttering the HUD, and both suck.



Option to remove HUD elements wouldn't hurt either, ideally I would disable the nametags altogether since they are just confusing and don't help recognizing teammates at all... especially in crowded hallways.

Game Server

I have recently got a game server and when i try to go into it, i get an error message saying you can't join the server because host has downloadable content which you do't have. now i have read about opt outing of beta in which i am and i have updated my server and verified my game several times and still no success. Can anyone help me out at all with this?

RO2 Can't select tank

A bug has appeared which makes it impossible to select the tank role in multiplayer campaign. It says the role is taken but it is not. Same thing happens for both teams. I think it only happens when the teams are on opposite sides, like when the germans are attacking on BoD, or on ROF. :IS2:

You simply just download that and let it install everything for you in 10 seconds. It is better than actually going to your files and doing it the hard way. I think this will be a big relief for those that need to get the textures and so on.




RS The Flamethrower, the Demotrap and reinforcement issue

I'm truly inconvenient with Rising Storm and its balance. Yes, I heard it the first time: "Asymetrical Warfare!"



It's historically accurate the Americans utilize flamethrowers. Nothing against that. BUT 1) the flames still manage to go through concrete, flaming the wall should result in suicide and personally I'd love to see the flames kill some other Americans as this player needs a tempban for exploiting this "feature" in the first place.

2) the flamethrower can't be picked up. Yes I know there shall not be too many flamethrowers, yet you completely deny the revenge on the Americans by shooting a flamethrower and turning it against their previous owners.

3) if it is meant to keep flamethrowers limited I ask myself why it was possible for me to gun down 4 flamethrowers in less than a 1min on Saipan defending the mill objective?





As the Americans are allowed to field such a large quantity of flamethrowers, I wonder why the Japanese are only allowed to setup two demotraps at a time. Yes, the ones you already put in place simply vanish as you decide to setup the 3rd one. At first I believed that they have already been triggered but I didn't recall a kill message. It took me a bit to realize that they magically vanish. How realistic ... :rolleyes:

Personally I'd say that Japanese should be able to plaster the entire map with demotraps as the Americans can use so many flamethrowers.



And there is another downside of this wonderful demotrap. Atmospheric map artillery often destroys them and gives way to the green swarm. Sometimes I am asking myself if this happened deliberately.



I know that the Americans fielded a lot more men than the Empire of Japan but then something needs to be done map-wise. Open up windows and rooms so the Japanese can shoot the Americans more easily.

I'm currently mapping more rooms and windows into TE-Apartments and this is something all Rising Storm maps need, more fire opportunities.

KF Sykosis website down?

I noticed the other day that Sykosis, the definitive site for Killing Floor maps has gone offline. Does anyone have any idea what happened to it or why it's taken down?




Texture issues with the Immersion Mod? Go to modDB!

I realise that having to fiddle with the ROengine.ini is a big turn off for a lot of people. There is a quicker, easier option if you are getting texture issues though.

Check the news feed and download the UNOFFICIAL TEXTURE FIX. It is a pre-adjusted ROengine.ini so all you need to do is overwrite your old one and reset your graphics.



Don't worry though, IOM v1.15 shouldn't have this issue.




RO2 Anti-Tank guns

I have played ro1 and ro2 for some time now and one of features that i miss from ro1 was static anti-tank guns, ive seen maps in ro2 with anti-tank gun as decoration, it would be nice if u could use them to destroy enemy tanks.

It would encourage teamwork between tank commanders and infantry. Snipers would beuseful in eliminating gun crew / preventing from using it, tanks would be able to destroy the gun by shooting HE round ino it,

engineers would be able to blow them up with explosives.

Guns would be only usable by anti-tank class or engineer(?).



I think that some maps would realy benefit from this for example: pavlov house, bridges of druzhina, red october factory, arad 2, barashaka and even fallen fighters (or any other map with tanks).



I have no idea if this proposal was ever mentioned before, but it would be nice to have.

RO2 Crashing When Pressing "O" Key

Hello,



I downloaded RO2 during the mid-week steam sale for $5.00 (woohoo!) and I love the game. The only thing is that when I play, and press the "O" key during a game, it freezes. I was playing a campaign and tried talking between rounds, and I typed "O". It froze. This is really really weird. :o

Bridges of Druzhina E Cap Zone

The E cap zone you don't know if you are in the zone or not. The cap zone indicator does not come up to display the fact that you are in the zone.



So you could be right on the edge of it by looking at the map or think you are in the zone, but you have no idea if you are in the zone or not.



Once capped you come to find you didn't receive any points because you were and inch away from the zone, but even if in the zone you still don't know it but at least you receive the points.




RO2 Revamp the scoreboard!

Hello folks!





After we have now experienced the new update and seen that Tripwire indeed is working and brings nice things out. I still feel there is lots of rooms in this big house called "Red Orchestra 2/Rising Storm" that need decoration.



One of the things that I miss a lot from Red Orchestra Combined Arms and Ostfront is that the role is not shown on the scoreboard.

A look to the scoreboard told me what class is desperately short on the battlefield or even if not used at all.



Being an admin on one of 40-1's servers I would also enjoy to see who is who as keeping the server clean and enjoyable would be easier this way. I would know who is not performing their roles if people say "MG's aren't doing their job!" or who is driving the tank and not providing the much needed cover on Bridges.



Currently the remaining time and reinforcements are on the left side of the scoreboard, in my eyes they are placed totally wrong there. Place them above the teams to free up that space.

Now you can add the role info to the scoreboard. I don't need to know the enemy role but certainly I want to know my own team's roles.



Same of course goes for Rising Storm.




[Crash] Stuck after loading map

Hi all!



First of all, thanks for last Tuesday's update (23 September 2014) it looks really great from what I have seen!



After the update I have a big problem that many other users seem to have experienced in the past as well, but for me it only started to occur after this big update:



What happens is that the game gets stuck between the moment that the map has finished loading and the moment you can select teams. It is stuck in the fixed viewpoint you see when you have loaded the map. I see the white text "connecting..." which then fades away and nothing happens after that. The game doesn't respond to anything and I have to close it manually in Windows.



I have tried many things I found on forums like letting Steam check the cache files, completely deleting the RedOrchestra2 folder in My Documents etc., nothing has worked so far.



I have included the .dmp file from a moment where I let the game crash itself at some point. I'm running RO2/RS on Windows 7 64 bit, Intel i7-2600, Nvidia GTX460, 8GB RAM. Again, this problem did not occur before this update.

Ironsights set to hold break viewport function

When you bind Iron sights to hold, instead of the default toggle, it breaks the RMB function to activate your viewports.



Small issue but considering the new update focused on vehicles and hopefully a few more maps focused on combined arms (whether official or custom), it would be nice to see a fix for this.



I can go in and manually change my keybinds every time I switch from Infantry to Tank combat but that's really a hindrance I could do without. Hopefully this gets addressed relatively quickly.




Arad lag

I have weird lag on this map. Im not sure but i think it is related to sound ?

Generally map lags, but for example lag appear everytime when a hurdle is being destroyed.

RO2 [MAP] TE-Donner

This is the beta release of my Donner recreation!

This is beta version 1.2! Map works pretty good, only big thing missing is a working map that will be added soon!







A little history about the map:



Donner is originally a map from the original Day Of Defeat mod, this was my unit (29th Infantry Division) favorite map in Dod, Cpt. Cranston decided to recreate the map for Darkest Hour when the unit transferred over to DH. I wondered why nobody had made one yet for RO2 so i gave it a shot, this is basically my first map, had to learn everything from scratch! Hope everyone likes the result so far!

Replay Functionality

While there are technically ways to achieve this with KF1 and replays seem more popular with competitive gaming, I feel that at launch or down the line that some form of user-friendly replay/save function after a match in KF2 would be great for fans interested in posting "sick" replays of epic events (as well as help be a tool for those interested in various kinds of creative video shorts).



Since this is more of a vanity thing, I don't see it as a pressing matter but it would be nice if TWI considers it down the line.



Is anyone else interested in such a feature or is this really more meant for the competitive crowd (a la Halo, CS, etc)?




Native Twitch broadcasting

What about built-in Twitch steaming support?

So players can be able to stream their game, including voice channels and even webcam to viewers with no extra equipment...




How can I rip texture files from Killing Floor?

I got the game today and I thought there was some really awesome textures that would be great to use in a map I'm making for another game, the only problem is I cant figure out how to even open the texture files. Some people were saying to use UnrealED but that costs money to purchase it just for a few textures. If anyone knows a free or extremely cheap way to open and export these texture files for usage please tell me. (Sorry if this is in the wrong section, please move it if it is)




Progress saving every 10 minutes

Because a lot can happen in a 30-40 minute match. Disconnects, crashes, personal matters. It's ridiculous not getting credit when credit is due. Makes players wanna quit when they get burned this way.




35 MG kills, had to leave early, no progress

This policy of having no saving if you leave early is B.S. I racked up 35 kills with the Allies MG in rising storm and I had to leave early. It's a shame I will get absolutely no credit for this. It makes me want to never load this game up again.

Please read i know its lenghty but it contains a good message......



I just recently talking and heard from a fellow dev of The Somme that they are out of money and pretty much dead (unofficially) at the time i release this thread. And with that being dead we are now left to nothing to look forward to on the topic of ww1, verdun is ok but it will never be gritty enough. That being said if you look at there population on there server (all 3) youll find that its actually not bad. Like usually 500+ with their U.S., E.U., and Japan server (not bad for 3 devs)



Idk i was talking to the dev and he said when they talked to you, along with other companies you all said "too risky". This has got me thinking, are companies no longer ready to take a risk every once in awhile anymore. I mean wth are we just going to have a gaming community of nothing but ww2 and "modern" shooters. Will no company have the balls to try something different or will we just going fad into obscurity where these are the only 2 things that FPS titles can be.



Now i came posting this to you guys because i have a great level of respect for you guys, and your work. Therefore, id love to see you guys give this war the respect it deserves. I know that you guys would do it right. And i understand currently you guys are tied up with Killing Floor 2 (which looks great btw, and looking forward to seeing that 3rd zed vid soon hopefully), but ro2/rs is starting to run its course and really will need another fps to fill its void.



Now you could very well just make another ww2 fps sure, and it would prob make some money sure, but really at some point someone has to say "enough is enough, we need to do something new". My question is will you guys be the one to do it. Will you step up to the plate. No doubt that after kf2 comes out that it will make you enough money to do some more work, will you take the risk with that money. Will WW1 ever get the respect it deserves, will no one ever step up and try to change that,will everyone just ignore this bloody war on its 100th anniversary and act like it never happened. After all if u think about it WW2 is just basically WW1 continued, without WW1 there would never be WW2.



Now if somehow i gave you guys a change of heart, or perhaps if you secretly already had a game planned for it, id still have a talk with the devs of THE SOMME as they were seeking to make a gameplay similar to yours and RESISTANCE AND LIBERATION, it was rather cool really.



Now of course it comes to the community. Now community if you would like this idea with similar gameplay to RO2/RS but with the WW1 setting just say "I support" in the comments, if you think that WW1 is irrelevant and we need a 300th WW2 fps title just write "I dont support" in the comments section.




RO2 Ultra high ping

Hi, half a year ago, I played RO2 without any problems. But now that I have reinstalled the game, it’s impossible to play on any server because the lag. In the server browser I choose servers below 70 ping. But when I I’m in game, the ping rises to 200-300 reaching peaks of 500 and making the game unplayable.

I have the antivirus disabled, the game priority to high, punkbuster updated etc…

Does someone know how can I fix that?




The game doesnt start after the update.

After the last 3GB update that was released a couple of days ago, i can no longer play this game because it doesnt start at all. When i click to play, nothing happens. The ROgame.exe starts running in task manager but the game itself doesnt start. I dont even get the starting picture.

I have tried many things to solve this problem like deleting the "red orchestra 2" file in My documents, deleting Binaries file in SteamApps/common/Red Orchestra 2, running again the RO2redist and pbsvc_hos and as last resort i uninstalled the game and installed it again. Nothing fixed my problem and the game still doesnt start.

I am seriously out of ideas and i am posting here with the hope of someone helping me because i really like this game.

I am running Windows 8.1 Pro (x64) and i have the latest drivers installed in my GPU (AMD Radeon HD 7870)




RO2 The cycle after every update

I've been playing RO2 since release. And here's what I've noticed happens after every single update, especially in the recent days:



1. Massive sale. Player count jumps to 2000+. The forum rejoices, people praise TWI.

2. People start playing. Fed up with getting team killed or getting stuck at certain difficult points, the veterans flood the easier side on that map. (This isn't *****ing about axis stack, as I see it go both ways often enough. Please don't make this about axis stack either.)

3. The new players get slaughtered map after map, and then leave and never play again, because it wasn't fun.

4. 2 months later, the veterans are on the forum complaining that we need more content to attract more players.

5. Rinse, repeat.



Seriously, this happens every time. Right now, I've found it especially bad, as the Germans got the new toy. Today on Bridges, the allies were outnumbered something like 30-22, and every single player on the allies, save for me and 2 others, were below rank 25. Lot's of them were getting fed up.



Please, for the sake of RO2, can the veterans play the harder team on difficult maps? Don't just play the easy side. Lets break the cycle!




Invisible settings and Nvidia anti-aliasing

This started a few weeks ago.

Every setting on RO2 (except the video setting) is now invisible. I also can't see the weapons and equipment when I click on a class



People with similar problems said it is because of forcing anti-aliasing on my Nvidia control panel (I have a Geforce GTX 660).

So, I put all of the options on "application-controlled", but still nothing changed.



How do I fix this?




Question to TWI

I have a question to TWI regarding free RO2 Tracker App in Google Play Store. The App has been removed due to the following reasons (as Google said)



- Your app and/or elements of its listing on Google Play, including title, description, logo(s), or promotional screenshots must not include unauthorized usage of protected works belonging to a third party.



- Your app icon and promotional screenshots must not contain images that appear confusingly similar to existing products.



I just want to know, if TWI had a problem with this App and the usage of their content?




RO2 MG42 - Ammo related bugs so far:

I'll underline the following bugs on MG42 when it comes to the ammo I've found:



1. Level 50 MG42 only spawns with 1 full belt (In the gun) and then a half-empty spare "magazine" even though level 50 upgrade indicates you would get another extra magazine (full belt?) so the gun I think should be spawning with 3 full belts, since level 25-49 MG42 spawns with 2 full belts.



2. Resupplying a MG42 user is not possible, if the aforementioned half-empty magazine MG42 user spawned with, is not spent. Also the presence of the said magazine also prevents resupplying action completely OR it causes the MG user not being able to be resupplied by other players at all.





3. When depleting a ammo belt completely, sometimes there's leftover belts that have around 3 to 5 bullets in them.



Scenario: Spawn with MG42, deplete your belt, reload, deplete the half-empty belt you spawned with and you can suddenly reload your gun with belts you didn't spawn with but they have only 3 bullets in them (So far I've only been able to reload twice these ghost belts before truly running out of ammo)



4. Ammo depots only give single belt of ammunition, Level 50 MG34 gets 1+1 belts from a ammo depot.

Make this game like tf2

With Strange Weapons!!!



Strange weapons that track zed kills!



This tracking is tied to the weapon so even if you sell the weapon and buy a new one from the trader, it would keep the counter.

Also include other variants:

Total zeds killed(all zed types)

Clot killed

Gorefasts killed

Bloats killed

Stalkers killed

Crawlers killed

Husks killed

Sirens killed

Scrakes killed

Fleshpounds killed

Patriarchs killed



Also includes other things like

Healing points for med guns and syringe

FPs raged (tracks how many times you cause a fp to rage with that weapon)

Scrakes raged (tracks how many times you cause a sc to rage with that weapon)

Teammates killed (for FF servers)







Makes a good way to wave your huge e-peen around. Earn yourself a bragging right as you show off your shiny golden AA12 that killed over 2 million zeds over your KF career.



or sulk about how you have 200 Patriarchs killed on your 9mm!



Doesn't work in certain maps ofc like testing maps or perk grinding maps!

Even better if you can also separate the difficulties too!

E.g.

Clots killed-Beginner

Clots killed-Hell on Earth and so on



How this works is by addig an Option in the Settings menu to enable/disable Kills Tracking.

If you opted to enable this option, you can then select what zed type kills that you would like to track and show to others.



In-game, other people and you can use a new command called Inspect just like tf2 where you simply aim at a teammate and press the bind for Inspect and you can see what weapons he is using and the stats of the weapons(only shows stats that the player opted to show in the Settings previously mentioned)



You can opt to show nothing to others if you want to hide the shame or you're too badass for an e-peen contest.




RO2 Change LVL 50 unlocks for AVT-40

I think that for the purpose of the AVT-40, the LVL 50 upgrade doesn't make sense at all.



Firing in full auto mode makes aiming through the scope impossible, and when using the iron sights the scope obscures almost everything, making the LVL 50 AVT a rather horrible assault weapon (the class that uses the AVT is called elite ASSAULT for a reason ;) ).



In my opinion high-powered scopes should only be accessible by snipers, not by elite-assault.



I'd recommend replacing the scope with the 20 round mag developed for the AVT-40/SVT-40.

That way the rifle's full auto mode would make more sense and it would stand a better chance against it's counterpart the MKb.



This change would not also balance gameplay, it would also be historically a little more accurate, as AVT-40s weren't issued with scopes (well, it even was a rarity for them to get issued at all)



I found using the AVT-40 to be quite fun, until I reached level 50, that scope pretty much ruined it :(




Singlplayer Achievements

Please remove Singlplayer achievements from Rising Storm/Red Orchestra 2 Multiplayer. These achievements are unobtainable.




GreyList bug

There is a problem or maybe it is normal. When I load IOM mod (which is now GreyListed if I understood) in the server start command line, server get Unranked, and I got this message in Launch.log:

Same if I load IOM with a delay with the help of SmartLoader mutator: server gets Unranked



If I start server without IOM in command line, and then I switch a map with IOM to activate it on the server, server keeps Ranked status and IOM is working.





When I get Unraked with IOM mod, server goes to Custom mode



When I stay Ranked with IOM mod server stays in Realism mode








Problem is I can not have automated tasks like restarting server.. I have to activate mutator myself each time and I have to restart server a few times a week to have it working good in server browser (maybe I have this server browser bug because I'm using WINE on Linux system to run the server, but if I don't restart it regularly, it shows wrong map and wrong player number in the server browser untill next server restart)
