Was there a point to changing the map downloading when it still doesn't work?

It's even more impossible to tell whether you are downloading a map when you select to join a server, the text in the bottom right looks like it's supposed to have a progress bar or maybe a percent but it's just empty space leading to the press f10 to cancel, which also shows up on the loading screen for reasons I don't understand since it also shows downloading on that screen as well......
