Just spit-balling here but how about a fire cudgel for the Zerker? It might be a little harder for some of the other Perks... I guess a napalm launcher for the Demo, classic incendiary rounds for some of the others... Maybe a Husk gun?
The use I could see for them would be more towards the crowd control side of things, so lesser base damage but of course it has the DOT damage.
And of course the Firebug could benefit from them as well.
Just throwing it out there. Anybody else interested?
