I am the XO of the 1st Marine Division Tactical Realism Unit; it is a new upcoming unit within Red Orchestra 2: Rising Storm. Between the CO and myself we share an accumulation of 11+ years of Tactical Realism gaming experience. The CO in particular has 5+ years of SDK mapping experience. We currently have 7 members, and haven't even started official recruitment yet - great start!
The focus of the 1st Marine Division Tactical Realism Unit...
Is to provide a friendly, mature atmosphere for like minded gamers to participate and thrive in Red Orchestra 2: Rising Storm. We utilize a historically accurate WW2 U.S Marine Corps rank structure; however, we do not force individuals to call each other by their [1st MD] rank, or "sir". However, we do expect all [1st MD] members to respect each other, and the community as a whole. We also have researched the U.S Marine Corps WW2 MOS (Military Occupational Specialty) structure and will be implementing that system into our unit as well for tracking positions. We do this to provide context to the historical period we are portraying, while keeping it friendly and enjoyable for all
We do provide additional training upon being accepted into the [1st MD] such as a short boot-camp to familiarize new members with our SOP's (Standard Operating Procedures). Along with the privilege of reaching NCO or Officer ranks, leadership training is a much which pertains to in and out of game material.
All promotions are based on a merit point system otherwise called promotion points. "What you put into this unit, is what you will get out of it."

- Must not have a history of hacking
- Mature attitude and respectful towards others
- An active participant within the [1st MD], on our forums, game server, and team speak.
- At least 16 years of age, preferably 17 years of age (most of our members are 22+ years old).
In short
- if you are a military history buff - this unit is for you!
- If you love competition, scrims, matches etc... - this unit is for you!
- If you like a mature, friendly, professional environment - this unit is for you!
- If you are active, and want promotions to no longer be to people who suck up to their Chain of Command; but instead be based on merit - this unit is for you!
- If you expect to be called "Sir" or "Sergeant" - this unit is not for you!
