8 threads refer to 8 thread CPUs, like the XEON E3-1230V3 (4 cores, hyperthreaded *2) or FX 8350 (8 cores)
Due to my tests it shown that KF1 is ultilized for 2 threads only.
After all, KF itself is a game published in 2009. Most of us didn't own a 4-core CPU at that date.
BUT
KF1 has framerate drops when I started a listen server with 15 men, on my new PC!
My new PC has E3-1230V3 and GTX 780, it cannot be the GPU's bottleneck(GPUZ proved this). So? KF1 has busted E3-1230V3, the high-end CPU in 2014!

Most game in 2014 is ultilized for 4 threads (there are a few 8s but still minority), but there are still lots of games ultilized for 2 threads in China, and there is a even worse one - The world of tanks - This bastard is only for 1 thread!
