Along with the Steam RO2 and RS confusion as stated by Tea_and_Crumpets their is another problem:
The title name Red Orchestra limits the game heavily by the reallife background of the red orchestra which forces the game being a nazi-germany vs. sowjet union scenario. Hence the name Rising Storm for the Japense vs. USA scenario.
This question is quite hard to ask but:
Is the title Red Orchestra really beneficial for the series and makes sense anymore?
It limtis the whole content of the game-series and it leads to confusion with Expansions like Rising Storm. On the other hand it's a quit big brand which a few pc players know already. But is this arguement really that strong?
In my opinion a relaunch and a new beginning of the series would be beneficial. The title RO isn't that catchy and easy to remember when I'm honest. Although I like the background of it. It would be a huge step to take and the series should not change it's whole direction with a renaming imo. And Tripwire should never forget where they came from but I don't think they ever do. <3 It kinda reminds me of the game Risen which is a unoffical videogame of the Gothic videogameseries.
