Game crashes as soon as the primary startup box dissapears. How to fix?

I bought this game off steam 2 days ago. I was ecstatic to try it out.
sadly it would crash unexpectedly as soon as it booted up the game.

I have tried:

-uninstalling and re installing
-deleting all the Rising Storm 2 files from the My Games folder and then re installing
-repairing vcredist_x64 after installation

what else can I do that will fix it?. I don't want my $30 dollars to be a waste
