"Less ammo than in RO2 yet more bullets needed to kill", can you explain this to me?

Hello folks,

after playing several hours (44hrs) on RS2, I can definitely say the amount of bullets needed for a kill is mostly at least three times as high as in RO2. The Nagant 1891/30 rifle came with 15 clips of ammo in RO2. One clip in the gun and 14 in reserve. That made it carry 4 clips of ammo more than the Karabiner 98k which could carry 10 clips of spare ammo.
In RS2 Vietnam the Nagant rifle has a mere 9 spare clips. That is still a good number IF the amount of bullets you need to kill had not increased dramatically. A Nagant round to the torso should always result in death. However I have experienced several occasions in which I had to fire three times ti finally bring down the American I was aiming at.

The AK 47 variants also feature ridiculously low spare ammo. A total of 90 rounds in reserve is hardly enough when a single American can take up to 6 rounds to die. That is just 5 Americans per magazine, optimistically assuming every round is a hit. The Mkb42 came with 6 magazines if I recall correctly. That is 180 rounds, double the amount of the current AK 47 variants loadout. However the Mkb hardly needed 6 rounds per Soviet soldier. A mere of 1-3 rounds was enough in most occasions. Assuming three rounds per enemy, the basic loadout would enable you to kill 60 enemies without ever heading for resupply even once.

In some matches I suicided two times before actually heading into combat. The reason is simply, I stacked ammo. Finally I had 8 magazines in reserve. 240 rounds of ammo. Which would entitle me, if I was to survive long enough, to kill up to 40 enemies. Of course if every shot was a hit.

There are two options in my eyes: either increasing the loadout to a sizeable amount of ammo or simply reducing the amount of bullets needed to kill.

I have been with the series for 12 years, I never had the issue of not having enough ammo for my adventures. This is the first time.

"Less ammo than in RO2 yet more bullets needed to kill", can you explain this to me?
