ZED terrain traversal system?

Something that I disliked in a major way in previous Killing Floor was the lack of motion transitioning as zeds moved.



Besides looking primitive it also affected gameplay in major ways as a simple bump on the ground, any kind of irregularity, visible or invisible, would make them teleport up or down or sideways. This removed a lot of tactic as only straight line shooting in a flat padded environment was feasible.



So, what have you done to address this major problem?

Can zeds step on stairs at least, instead of being magically pulled up?
