Can't play online at all

As the title says the online modes are completely unplayable for me as in regular survival I will just be searching for a server forever (I have waited up to a hour on all regions) and it never places me in a match

in vs survival I can actually join a match but the game then freezes at the loading screen again I have waited around 30 minutes each time but not once have I been able to play
