Unknown Steam error prevented access to this (Perks)

So I have been having this problem with losing access to my perks and achievements after a single game. I have to completely restart the game completely to access it again. I've been playing this game for about 4 years and haven't had this problem until a couple months ago.



Possible recent changes?:

• Family shared games on my second steam account and loaded up the game but did not play (Stopped family sharing games soon after)


• Change steam skin to metro


• Added steamworks mods

1. Specimen kill messages(had for years)


2. Informative Scoreboard (had for years)


3. KF-TestMap (Removed soon after)


4. Patriarch HP Left with Health Bar (Removed soon after)

• Changed "User" file settings recently

I have already tried:

Reinstalling the game from previous working backup (updated and verified)

Deleting cache and system folders and verified files

Open ports

Run the game as Admin



I'm running on Windows 7 x64 bit.



I guess the next big thing is to somehow completely delete all the killing floor and re-download. Just wanted some input before I spend the time to do it (I don't have the fastest connection). Thanks if anyone takes the time to read this.
