Hi there,
Please go easy on me here. I don't know a lot about all of this stuff but my son has had a few issues and I have been dragged into it to try and help him.
I had bought the game Red Orchestra: Heroes of Stalingrad which had a multiplayer and single player component to it.
But alas according to my son he said that he could only use a rifle class in the game as he did not have Rising Storm. It has taken me awhile to work this out as when looking at the art work one would assume it was the one and same game. Go figure. Darn confusing if you ask me.
So now I bought this game called Rising Storm.
The issue we seem to have here is that in the games library it is listed as 'Rising Storm Beta' or see attached pic to view the library.
When we started this game it loaded but there are no servers or people playing. On some results from Dr Google it appears that the Beta version is no longer supported? And the 'Full' version had been released so therefore the Beta version is not active? Or have I got this all mixed up?
Iv'e spent a fair amount of time trying to find answers regarding this but have come up with nothing. Many of the results/answers on Google are either incomplete, difficult to make sense of, drop off with no replies or go off topic.
So just to tie this up the questions again would be;
1. Is the game I bought 'Rising Storm' which is listed as BETA a full version game?
2. Should my son be able to play online in multiplayer with it? (As no servers show up currently)
3. Is he playing the right game to start with? Meaning, is the mutiplayer for Rising Storm only available under 'Rising/Storm Red Orchestra2 Multiplayer'. In addition to this train of thought.....by installing the Rising Storm Beta game does this give him the extra weapons in the game 'Rising/Storm Red Orchestra2 Multiplayer'?
Sorry if this all sounds confusing...because I am tired of researching this and this is how confused I have become because of it all..lol.
I hope someone can help clear the mud from my mind. And apologies if I have posted in the wrong place. Just darn tired. :-)
