Put Em Up! Fight Like Manly Man

The idea of fist fighting has been around for a while. The concept of a low-damage, high-speed blunt precision option is very appealing, especially when you consider the beserker melee damage scaling. All classes should have access to fists, and for beserker I feel they should replace the knife altogether as it seems more fitting for a BESERKER to use his hands to kill.



The idea is to create a fun, fast-paced close-up weapon that feels really satisfying and is only designed for taking on the first few waves of trash. You could start out with some basic swings, with beserkers unlocking new moves with rank. Hooks, uppercuts, jabs, powerful overheads, as well as grappling and parrying. You could almost use only fists all round once you're rank 25, but they're still be almost useless against tougher enemies. This way you don't see fist fighters every match.



Fists are missing from most games and when they're done right, it feels so satisfying. They should fit into the KF world pretty well, especially with the MEAT system. Imagine caving a clots face in with a powerful jab, then watching the blood spray towards the ceiling when you finish with an uppercut. Since the melee system already has the directional attacks mechanic, it wouldn't be too hard to implement hand-to-hand combat. Fists would be a universal damage across all classes except beserker, and replace beserker's knife. The reason we need this is simple: coolism. Only one reason not to: it's too manly for Munk to handle.
