When it comes to DLC, there are pretty much only two things I hate: Day One DLC, and DLC advertised on Day One: It screams "Thanks for the money sucker now pay us more now to get the rest of the game!"
Which isn't to say I don't like DLC, I actually do, on a product that is finished and whole in it's entirety.
Evolve is a good example of how to destroy an Intellectual Property doing exactly those things wrong.
Even though they were supposedly going to make the map packs free, they're still screwed because of how they marketed the paid DLC.
Anyway onto the thread:
After the game had been out for a month or couple, I'd like to see weapon replacement models.
For example, I'd like to replace the Bulpup with a different rifle, like the Israeli IWI Tar-21, pretty much the best bulpup in the military today. Paying for weapon skins sortof sucks, because it's just a skin, and DICE has literally dozens of weapon skins for their guns, so we know it's of low added value and should simply be part of the game in the first place.
But new weapon model replacements would be a big step up: A way to customize your soldier, but not game altering like adding a new actual weapon to the store. No pay to win.
Not every weapon can get into the game, but they could be an awesome and profitable as new model replacements.
This way us gun nuts who want a specific weapon can get it with out depending on a modder, the company can make a little money putting it in their interest, and it will work online.
Sort of the same things with voice packs. To re-iterate, there should be many voices to choose from in the base game, but additional voice packs, by skilled voice actors or recognizable celebrities would be welcome.
Sortof annoyed with their only being two voice actors in KF1.
