more mid-tire zeds

I don't know if there's any idea to registering just for this. I was just glad to see that you guys have a forum for suggestions. Anyway I don't feel like kf2 need an abundance of new gameplay features and weapons/items as it shouldn't strive too far away from the original core mechanics.



What I do think the game will benefit from is new zeds, especially more mid-tier zeds which I consider the husk and siren to be. I would love to see big crawlers and big stalkers at the same spawn ratio as husks and siren. Or completely original new zeds that fall into the same tier without offering the same kind of emergency.



The reason why is that in kf1 I would tie the zeds into low, mid and high-tier categories. Most of the zeds are low-tier and they are the vast majority spawns but for an adept team they are rarely the issue, just canon fodder. Sirens, Husks, Scrakes and Fleshpounds are all imminent threats. There is a kind of difficulty contrast between the zeds where a wave usually goes between effortlessly slaughtering the low-tier zeds to everyone pulling together to kill the fleshpound or even run from him. It's nice to have this contrast when 2 fleshpounds comes at once or nobody in your team can handle a scrake and you're playing the helpless demo, it could always end bad and makes the game serious. but at the same time it's not so fun to play a map just camping one spot where the game offer no concern for the first 5 waves and even in later waves only having the real concerns show up a few times.



I think it would be interesting to see more mid-tier zeds fleshing out the zed army. The big stalker which in my mind would look something like a kf1-husk / vampire hybrid is dangerous because of its cloaking and relatively high health and movement speed but it's not necessarily a concern like the siren could be. My idea is to have zeds that are still relatively easy to deal with (maybe lack special abilities) but still offer more challenge than the low-tier zeds (more health, faster speed) to successfully bridge the gap between the 2 zed groups without sacrificing even and fair gameplay.





p.s. I hope that hoe will be much harder. Show no mercy :d
