The dead horse on Spartanovka, Ogeltez, has his own story

Ok, I would like to know the story of the gutted and faulty german soldier dead in a ruined house in Station.
Anyone knows his story?
Was he killed by Russian artillery in an earlier german attack?
Was he tortured and eviscerated by russian comissars?
Died by a grenade?
Perhaps many of you consider this a silly thread, but the first time i saw this dead body i felt very sad, a sad violin music was playing in the background when I saw him (one of the saddest tracks in the game), his eyes looking nowhere and shattered body suddenly reminded me how horrible it was World War II despite being playing a video game. This is not what I felt seeing mangled bodies of comrades by arty or grenades because I consider it a bit more "cinematic".
