I see many early access games doing similar thing. The thing like M4 shotgun buff is something that's not that hard to balance and pushing it to beta would allow loads of players to try it before it comes out for everyone and give their feedback.
I guess what I'm trying to say is that by pushing small changes to beta non stop, some stuff would be verified faster by large number of players and therfore changes (if needed) would be done faster because of feedback.

Keep beta updates all the time for small changes
