This is the latest Drone from DJI, Inspire 1-
It has amazing maneuverability and features but...
Now imagine instead of the camera below you put a gun to it(which can be upgraded), wouldn't that be amazing?
Also, Drone class or Rigger(from Shadowrun universe) would have different modes of operation, guard mode, direct control mode, attack run mode.
It would have limited ammo so you would have to reload it manually, which would be in form of a mini-game. There are so many options to explore here!
