Can we get a little insight into what the "feather in the hat" (as phrased at the PS4 Panel) will be for the veteran players and it's requirements?
I'm curious (as I'm sure many are as well) to see if I'm eligible. And if not, if I can be by hitting a certain threshold.
Now before you elitist folk come out with your, "You only deserve it if you're a true fan and went through all the work without incentive" gubbins, there's something you need to understand.
The Killing Floor 2 teasing and media content has absolutely spoiled me and I'm assuming many others. Once KF2 comes out, I'm fairly certain a vast majority of us won't have much of any incentive to go back to the original unless we have a specific goal like 100%ing or perhaps to help a friend.
As I said, I'm absolutely spoiled by the teasing so far and I'm having a hard time playing Killing Floor right now. I just went on a grind for about 1 month doing a crap ton of achievements and difficulty runs which added a good 102 hours on top of my 187 hours(289 total. Owned the game since 2011). Some of you fine folks might very have played with me too.
And I'm burned out for KF1.
On top of ALL of that, knowing how to achieve it may still filter out the "true fans" or not. There have been plenty of situations like this for games in the past where I had no desire to reach that threshold of "true fan" because, even though I LIKED the game, I didn't like it that much.
I absolutely love Killing Floor and if there is an extra incentive for me to pump MORE hours into KF1 despite KF2 being released, I will do it with a smile on my face where as others, who don't really care one way or the other, won't.
...
TL;DR: What is the "feather in the hat"? How is it achieved? It could possibly drive incentive for people to put more hours into an older title and potentially give you a small influx of dosh because of it.
Backdrop: During the PS4 Panel, someone asked if Veteran players will get any special accommodation to which the panel responded with, and I paraphrase, "Our Veterans will be getting a little 'feather to put in their hat'". What DEFINES a Veteran player wasn't disclosed.
