Hi I've recently purchased killing floor and at times (sometimes every 10-15 seconds or sometimes there are huge gaps in between) my headset suddenly stops working while im playing killing floor.
My headset is a corsair vengeance 2100 (wireless) and it would still be on but all sound from the computer would be muted until i disable and enable the device again in the computer sound settings. My mouse and keyboard would also sometimes get disconnected while I'm playing and it would reconnect by itself but sometimes I'd have to unplug and plug in otherwise it would take too long. (cm storm quickfire tk and steelseries sensei)
I do not believe the problem to be my headset, keyboard or mouse as I have updated to the latest drivers and programs for them and the problem is exclusive to killing floor only and I play other games (mainly cs and dota) a lot more than killing floor to know that it only happens with killing floor.
I've looked up this on google and found this post from 3 years ago

but he rebuilt his computer and may of been his psu or mobo, which I doubt to be my problem as I have built my computer this year, updated to the latest drivers a few days ago and still it is a killing floor exclusive problem.
My friend is inclined to believe that killing floor is just too old for my headset and told me to try use my old speakers or iphone headphones to try play and I have done that with success (although haven't tested long enough) and I also believe its just killing floor making a problem with my usb ports.
Does anyone have an idea what could be my problem? I really don't want to switch out my peripherals each time i want to play killing floor ):
