Looking at this old trailer, i have seen some features that were not implemented into the final version of RO2.
----Facial animations:----
Devs already talked about them and said that they weren't implemented due to performance reasons. However, there are four years between the release of the game and today, wich is a lot of time in terms of IT: So IMHO i think that they could be implemented without any consistent loss in terms of playerbase, especially if released with the next big content patch. IMHO the average RO/RS players would not leave because they have to turn down a pair of video settings.
However, if facial animations require a 4xTitan SLI, no way....:D
---The sound of moving soldiers at 1:03----
I just can't guess why this was not implemented. It's already extremely immersive to hear your footsteps, it would be a :D:):D:):D to hear the noise of your equipment while moving from cover to cover.
---Realistic MG deploying with relative sound (1:07)---
Hearing the sound of the machinegun touching the cover would make me feel like playing RO3.
--- The tank ---
The crew and the internal equipment influenced by the movements of the tank...:) watch the hull machinegunner, whose aim is affected by the movements of the tank...
Plus ,the dark interiors, apart from being autenthic, would permit to slightly decrease the interiors detail to compensate the new effects in terms of performance, and would hide a lot of tank glitches.
****! These are the details that makes me feel the passion that the devs put into their game! and the things that made me instantly feel that it is a cool game, when i first saw some videos of it.
So... is it possible to include these things, if not into the game, at least into a mutator?
I would be very glad to see a dev or a modder opinon.
