Since the brewing system was introduced I've run in to an issue where custom packages would not download properly by clients. This issue was seen on some of Rekruts maps such as univermag and bibilohill. These maps use external packages containing textures etc. What would happen was that the client, upon finishing the actual map download would deploy directly to the map without first moving on to download the external package that the map was dependant on. This resulted in visual issues such as textures not appearing properly. Rekruts resolved this issue by simply moving the contents of the external package into the map file, thus eliminating the need to download an external package to begin with. However, the issue still remains unsolved.
The fact that the server ran the map with no problems show that the server properly identifies and loads the external package. Furthermore, those clients who manually download the external package before deploying to the map experience no visual issues, signifying that the issue simply is that the server does not force the client to download the package.
So what I'm wondering is, how do you make sure that custom packages that a custom map uses are downloaded by the client when downloading said custom map? Is it something you have to specify when brewing the custom map? Is it something that needs to be specified in the maps ini file? Or is it a server issue that TWI has to look into. Considering it was working before the change to brewing I imagine it could be the latter, but I might be missing something.
Thanks in advance.
