So today I decided to delete the custom maps I downloaded of the workshop. However unsubscribing from them didn't delete them, so I went to Program Files (x86)-Steam-SteamApps-common-KillingFloor-maps and deleted them from there. Then I started to get a runtime error when I tried to boot it up. I took some advice from other threads like deleting the killingfloor.ini file, validating integrity of game cache, and deleting local game content and redownloading. Nothing worked. So then I decided to just delete all Killing Floor files and redownload everything from scratch, but now I get this error.
Critical Error
Build UT2004_Build_[2004-11-11_10.48]
OS: Windows NT 6.1 (Build: 7601)
CPU: GenuineIntel PentiumPro-class processor @ 3193 MHz with 4095MB RAM
Video: NVIDIA GeForce GTX 660 (1106)
General protection fault!
History: UWindowsViewport::TryRenderDevice <- UWindowsViewport::OpenWindow <- UGameEngine::Init <- InitEngine <- FMallocWindows::Free <- FMallocWindows::Free
I'm not very tech savy, but deleting custom maps from other games the way I described above hasn't ever caused an error. I'm not sure what I did, but this game is not working at all right now. Any advice would be appreciated.
