Crazy Musical Idea

A brief foreword:

This is more of a "what if" fantasy than a serious plea to make it happen. I found the thought entertaining and was curious what some of you might think.

What if the KF2 soundtrack (both music and ambience) was scored by zYnthetic AND Akira Yamaoka (either together or individually)?

Spoiler!

For those unfamiliar, Akira Yamaoka was best known for his contributions to the Silent Hill series. He was also involved in many more projects outside of that franchise (and style) such as Contra (both Hard Corps & Shattered Soldier) and No More Heroes 2.

More importantly, though he lives in Japan he has experience working with western studios (for instance Portsmouth based "Climax Studios" or California based "Double Helix Games") so the idea of Yamaoka-san teaming up with TWI is NOT a logistical impossibility.

Part of me fantasized pinging Yamaoka impersonating John Gibson (don't worry, I wont) exclaiming "Hey! We're working on this awesome game! Would love to have you lay out a few tracks for us!"

...though I'd have a heart attack if Yamaoka replied "Hell yeah! Let's do this!"

What're your thoughts? Should zYnthetic remain solo (or with Dirge)? Would the universe explode if they ALL teamed up? Has Yamaoka lost his luster since the wonder years? Would this alliance present the pinnacle of "muh gerdy" (more grittiness) the world has ever seen and make all of us soil ourselves playing KF2?

Sound off regardless if you think I'm a mad scientist or a blasphemer.

P.S. There's PLENTY of Yamaoka's work readily available on YouTube for those who aren't familiar with his discography.

Movement / Sprint Lag

Hey everyone, so I have a pretty high end Alienware(I'll provide specs if need be). I bought RO2 from the recent steam sale, and the first few days I played things went on without a hitch. Last night and today, however, whenever I joined a server it would be impossible to play without some sort of movement lag. My latency is perfect and everything is operating as it should with no background programs running. Again, the issue is when I try to sprint or move. The screen will hitch forward, making it annoying to play. It's not unplayable, but it's the equivalent to having a mosquito buzzing in your ear.

Any leads or help would be appreciated.

I have already re installed and nothing has changed.

Thank you ahead of time,

TBrunswick

Suicide Grenade

Hello community

Playing the game since 2009, everyone at some point reach a situation where surrounded by dozens of zeds, there was nothing left to do but one last act of glory, throw some grenades in the ground to explode and take some specimens together

However, in some situations, they appear so fast that it is not possible (or even a siren disabling the grenade)

Then, I believe that a viable option, it would be a shortcut button or skill to make a more acceptable suicide, with the character pulling the pin on a grenade with a specific animation, and exploding with a greater force and effect than an ordinary grenade.

Or a kamikaze suicide against a big thread, like scrake or fp, with a running animation following by an explosion.

Well, this is my humble suggestion, I would like to see what you guys think about it

Thanks

Dropbox alternatives?

Anyone know of any free web hosting sites that could work with killing floor? Dropbox for some reason quit on all of us and I don't feel like paying for a web hosting site since I only run my server once in awhile.

Community bugtracker

I would like to see a community bug tracker simila to ARMA 3, could be very useful in identifying bugs, ensuring that they aren't just 'one off' bugs and would be good at consolidating replication cases for them so they can be fixed. It's not too late for this to be implemented for RO2, and perhaps it can be used for the new KF or future RO2 expansions. It could be placed at the top of the forums for everyone to see. Thoughts?

Skallagrim on Zombies and Brain Damage

First of all, I know in KF they are "specimens" and not "zombies".

But still an interesting watch:

Rejecting challenges

In the rules I read the following:

You can only refuse a challenge from another clan in the following cases:

-Reschedule: You want to reschedule the match to another date. This date has to be within eight (8) days of the original challenge.

-Busy in this ladder: You already have two (2) or more matches in this ladder in the next ten (10) days.

-Unequal match: There is a gap of 7 ranking positions and 80 Elo-rating between you and your opponent, or you have an Elo-rating of 1660+ and it's your opponent's first match.

-Unofficial maps: The opponent selected a map not listed in the rules for that ladder.

-Hibernate: You want to set your clan as inactive in this ladder but after that you cannot be challenged by others, cannot challenge others and can only become active upon a ticket request to TWIL.

But at the moment you can reject ANY challenge without problems. I have chalenged five clans last thursday, and only one clan responded via Steam. I didn't get any message from the homepage mail system that my challenges were rejected or anything. That means you can reject any challenge without punishment, this ruins that ladder!
