Why can't I " USE " things from the crouch position ??

So when ever I'm next to a stationary machine gun, hiding in the crouch position and want to press the " use " key, it doesn't work. I have to stand up and position myself in the right " zone " for the "use" key to work. By doing this I run a high risk of getting shot in the head by the enemy ( and I often do:mad: ).



Is it the same for everyone ? It seems to me that we should be able to " use " the mg from a crouch position.
