My Feelings and Questions So Far

I apologize a head of time for the length, but here we go:
I was a day one buyer of Killing Floor: Calamity when it was released on the Ouya. I followed the development of the game and have posted here a few times already. I also have a few hours into the Ouya release and was looking forward to the Android release of the game. Just some background on my devices before I get into my opinions so you know what I’m playing on.
I own a Samsung Galaxy S5.
A Third Generation Kindle Fire HDX
A Nexus 7 (2012)
Thus the only device that I can even download Killing Floor Calamity on is the Nexus 7. The Amazon version should be available soon so I cannot comment on how that runs on my device but I will pick it up as soon as it is released.
The big question that everyone has been asking is when the release for phones is coming out. The answer is as of right now as far as I can see is: it is not. The game is only available on the google play store for tablets 7 inches or over. This is a choice I understand but I will not lie I am disappointed. One of the Devs mentioned in a previous post here that the game was able to run on his Samsung Galaxy S3. Yet I can imagine the touch controls and wide overhead perspective makes it hard to put onto a phone.
This all being said the only device I can use is the Nexus 7. The oldest device I have. The game boots up, runs and looks great. Up until I try to load a map. I get to a loading screen and then the screen goes black. After a minute or two the app closes itself and restarts, giving me the tripwire splash screen and I’m back at the start menu before I know it. So I have not been able to play this version of Killing Floor Calamity at all (with the expectation of navigating the very cool menus.)
Although I have not been able to play, I have read up on the game and looked over some of the release notes on the google play store. Because of this I have some questions.

1. Will we ever get some kind of leaderboard or way to compare scores with friends?
2. Will android ever get multiplayer? - This is a big one but not for the reason you would expect. I am aware nvidia shield devices can play with a friend, but otherwise the android devices cannot. This is not only unfortunate for all android users (most likely the majority of customers. There are more people who own average tablets than Nvidia’s high end tablets.) But also causes the Medic perk to be pretty pointless. If I can never play with another person not only does that complicate leveling up medics but also makes their abilities pretty pointless. This entire class will not get used to its full potential by most of the players playing this game.
3. Steam release? – This is one I am sure you guys are sick of hearing. The issue here is that this game would work great as an inexpensive title on steam with online multiplayer and leaderboards. It would also be great to see fans make custom maps or other things in the steam workshop. I have read in the other posts on this forum that it may come to steam if the game does well on this platform. This worries me as this might be an uphill battle. A little know title, only available to people who own larger and modern tablets is the determining factor on a fantastic, well balanced and just a well done game. This game would do well on steam and I do not want its limited audience to decide its fate. This game is too good to see it only reach limited amount of people. Don’t get me wrong, I’m not saying no one will play it.
4. Controller support? I know this had very good Playstation 3 controller support on the Ouya. How about Android? Will we or do we have any kind of controller support.
5. Perk related skins? – Why is it that certain skins can only be used with certain perks? Is this a design choice or is it due to hardware limitations? I would love to be able to choose Mr.Foster for the assault class or Dr.Glover for the pyro class.

I just want to say: I have been a killing floor fan since the original killing floor. I’ve played through all of the games (Even the original mods for UT:2004.) The reason I bought an Ouya was for this game. You guys did a fantastic job on this game and I am considering buying another tablet just to run the game smoothly if I cannot get it on any of the devices listed. I love this game. Thank you for all your hard work.
