[Discussion] Would the impact on gameplay from doors with infinite HP be negative?
Right now, doors have a set Heath Point count that is about 3 times that of the maximum possible Weld health.
What if, the doors had infinite health like they did in KF1?
The door could still be destroyed if the Weld is destroyed, like in KF1, but then don't respawn, as in KF2.
I'd think that this would mean doors would have actual utility so an area with intact doors would really be valuable vs an area without intact doors.
Then again, there is the concern that playing Support, standing at a door Welding constantly wouldn't be fun.
But I'm not convinced that with the faster enemy movement and general chaos that Welding constantly without interruption would be possible.
Also larger Zed's such as FP/SC seem to be able to overpower a Support welding a door in time, it's hard to say definitively because the door quickly breaks before you can really examine Weld damage rate vs Weld repair rate.
