Bullet Impact Effect

I've been working on a map that features some of the cliff faces used originally in Outpost. Manor also uses these but they aren't seen as closely as they are in Outpost.

The problem is (and this is true even in Manor) that when you shoot the cliff face, snow appears no matter what material I apply on the mesh.

I only started learning to map a few days ago so I have no clue on how to go about changing the properties of the mesh or material so that rock appears on impact instead of snow.

The Rock Wall meshes also featured in Manor appear to have the correct impact effect. Does anyone know how I'd apply that effect to the cliff mesh?


EDIT:
I forgot to mention the material I'm applying is Manor_Cliffside

I tried Googling this but it was pretty much a dead end.
