Should swapping to the knife be a quicker animation than other weapons?

Swapping to the knife quickly to save ammo and take out some trash zeds then swapping back to your main weapons should be fast and fluid motion. Pistol should be fast as well, but knife should be the fastest. Weapon swap speeds can remain the same for primary weapons.

It's pretty satisfying gutting clots and gorefasts with knives but swapping to the knife is inconvenient.
