DISCLAIMER: i made this thread to write down any problems or ideas that i have. some of the things that i'm about to say might already be said or wrong so please point that out.
ADS sensitivity. When I joined a server the first thing that I did was adjust my mouse sensitivity to a level that satisfied me. Shooting zeds from the hip was all fine and well but then I clicked on the right mouse button. You see Ivan, ADS sensitivity was set to be 35% of my sensitivity which is very uncomfortable for me. I looked into the options menu and found no slider for ADS sensitivity so that should be fixed
Headshots are way less satisfying than in KF1. No, it's not that they're less effective, the problem is in sound design. KF1's headshot sound effect is very meaty, rapid and it's followed up by a red cloud and KF2 has me shooting zombies with rubber ducks for heads. Oh, and while we're on the subject of sound design...
The default pistol. I really don't wanna use it. It takes 2 headshots to kill trash zeds, it doesn't sound good and it's pointless because everyone gets a better weapon. The varmint rifle? Sounds great, looks great, 1 headshot to kill trash. Medpistol? Same thing. Support's shotgun is actually good enough for killing almost anything below scrakes and some might even argue with that. My solution? Make it sound and feel more powerful. It's a handgun and it's what you switch to when you're out of bullets and you really need to shoot but it's such a peashooter that you might as well just stand still and wait for death's cold embrace
Boomstick jumping. I'm not sure if it's intended but it's an awesome mechanic and one that should be kept, nourished and have spots built around the idea that people can literally do force-a-nature jumps from tf2. I think that more weapons should have knockback like that. Why not use grenades for getting out of tight spots? Or grenade launchers? Ok, the latter isn't even in the game yet but still, the idea's here
Berserker isn't tanky enough. As of right now, a single siren or a bloat can SERIOUSLY mess up my day because sirens deal real, soviet damage and bloats puke on me and make it very difficult for me to do, well, anything because I'm blind. The developers seem to already be fixing those issues but I felt like this is still very much an issue that needs to be discussed.
New enemies. This is a point that one of my friends made when I was trying to get him to buy the game. The slight variations on clots really don't bring anything new to the table, just make the trash look more diverse. Yeah, everyone has new attacks but a couple of new faces would be welcome. What about a new boss type enemy? Something akin to a dozer from PD2 might work. Or what about medics/supports? You get it, more kinds of zombies to shoot - good.
Fleshpound's roar isn't distinctive enough. Self-explanatory.
The bosses. Ok so there is Hans and Patriarch is on the way, but i'd like to see a boss who's less about health, tanking and healing himself and more about dishing out loads of damage and forcing the players into being very, VERY careful about approaching him
More game modes. Objective mode, survival, maybe even deathm- nah, that's too ridiculous.
More crosshair options. Yes, I know that Tripwire likes having no crosshair but the option should be there because i like weapon sway but frankly it really offsets my aim for some reason. maybe i use viewmodels to tell where the middle of the screen is? Doesn't matter, having that option would be nice though
That is all for now. I'll add more when I think of something.
