I have two gameplay related questions

Is there explanation somewhere of the small icons that appear in the bottom left side of the screen?

Does anybody know if the shotgun damage is for all pellets combined or its like in PayDay 2 where every single one of them deals the maximum amount of dmg as long as it hits something?
