Hi guys!
Some of you might know that support of Cyrillic characters in Killing Floor and Red Orchestra games is not great (These games share the same Russian fonts). Some of the upper case characters simply don't work. I did a little research and discovered that the problem is the font textures, specifically the ones in ROFonts_Rus.utx texture pack. Let's take a look at localized Russian ROArial16 font (on the left) and compare it to original English ROArial16 font (on the right)

Characters underlined with red are the ones don't work, the rest works fine. Here comes the question, how do i fix it?
My guessing is that i should somehow move the characters so they all go after that last character in the original font ("z" with dot on top).
I tried to edit the fonts with photoshop + Nvidia DDS plugin, but i only mess it up even further. Can someone direct me to bitmap font editing guide for Unreal Engine 2.5 or share any experience on the subject?
if we have the methodology it would be possible to create fonts for any language.
