RS Thinking to buy . Need help

I have always been fan of ww2 shooter games ( medal of honour series ) . But i have never tried any ww2 theme multiplayer. On googling i found about red orchestra 2 and rising storm . So i want to ask whether community is pretty much active or not ? What is the download size of the game ? And what is some best thing in game that you dont find in others .
