This suggestion is for the transports that are currently in the beta. This is just a temporary suggestion as I understand at some point, entering and exit animations may be available.
I propose slight delays for the following actions (and why):
- Entering vehicle: 2 seconds, during this time you are vulnerable to all kinds of projectiles, but unable to fire back. A simple message "Entering Vehicle" is displayed during this time. Player is shown immobile outside vehicle for this time and vulnerable.
- Switching position: 2 seconds if it involved the driving position, otherwise 1 second during which a message that says "Switching Positions" is displayed.
- Exiting vehicle: 1/2 second to 1 second, just enough so you can't instantly teleport and start firing, and it gives a brief moment for enemy infantry to get a chance to fire on players exiting without being fired on in return. A quick message "Exiting Vehicle" is displayed. Player is instantly shown outside vehicle and briefly immobile and vulnerable during this time.
