RO2 freezes whole computer, forcing hard reset.

My computer gets frozen randomly, disconnecting my monitor and ctr+alt+del does not work, only option is a hard reset via power button. I have tried googleing this problem and have seen that this is an old problem often blamed on either punkbuster or realtek. The problem is that the games crashes on non-pb servers and that I am not using realtek. The problem does not seem to be solved by diabling cuda through nvidia control panel and my graphics card is not of the 600 series. This problem started randomly appearing just a few days ago and I have had no problems with this game until now. Any ideas to fix this mess?
