Hiding the HUD while keeping map and tactical view?

I'm trying to use the showhud command to keep the hud hidden but it hides the overhead map and tactical view info as well. I'd like to try playing with no hud, accessing the overhead map and tactical views when I need to. I had the idea that maybe a bind could be setup where when I press my map key it re-enables the hud and then disables again when I release the key. Same for the tactical view. Any idea on how I should try to do this?
