RO2 No death moans, censored DE version?

So i bought RO2 way back abroad so i made sure that it is uncensored and recently got the RS standalone expansion in Germany which was passed without censorship surprisingly. As a result RO2 was patched with gore in germany, though there were cases where this was not fully fixed for some players. My question is if death moans were previously censored? The game is otherwise running fine for me.
