Hello forum goers,
I'm here today to ask you if you would please participate in an open discussion regarding the Kickstarter programme for Video Games, and what you believe makes a successful project.
The following questions have been selected as the most popular to be asked. It would very much be appreciated if you could provide your personal and possibly professional opinions on them. Some context will also be added to the questions.
So here we go.
I will leave it at those four questions for now as I believe that they are sufficient enough right now to shed light on what it takes to begin to create a successful Kickstarter project.
Thank you in advance for taking the time to share your very valued opinions.

So here we go.
- What are you looking for in a Video Game Kickstarter that would make you want to back the project? (This could be anything from game related E.g. Nice Graphics, or you like how the creators present themselves in how they write/advertise).
- Would you be more inclined to back a tried and tested product? (Say if a publisher has already released a demo/beta of the game to be tested before or during the Kickstarter campaign?)
- Would you be more inclined to back a tried and tested publisher? (It would appear publishers who have worked on previously successful games, who then go on to create Kickstarter campaigns, are backed in huge numbers. Do you believe this is due to them been tried and tested publishers?)
- How much does cost Vs gain impact your decision to back a project? (An example to this would be, if a project offered you a standard version for 10 that is just the game, and a Deluxe version for 20 that is the game and a soundtrack, does the additional content impact your decision to back?)
I will leave it at those four questions for now as I believe that they are sufficient enough right now to shed light on what it takes to begin to create a successful Kickstarter project.
Thank you in advance for taking the time to share your very valued opinions.
