this is not exactly a bug but it might as well considered as one since it's incredibly disorientating and frustrating to deal with.
you sneak around behind enemy lines, suddenly, without any warning, the screen turns red and you have 5 seconds to go somewhere or you just die instantly.
so you start panicking and run all over the place, the enemy notices you and you are quickly shot down.
all because you didn't know where are spawn protected areas.
it's frustrating to no end and has no real reason to be this way.
simply making spawn protected areas red on the minimap should not be so difficult and will save a lot of broken nerves.
