Hi all,
I play this game regularly for one year now (around 400 hours) and I never had any problem. But since the steam update release, Red Orchestra 2 doesn't work anymore.
The problem:
I can launch the game without problem, but once I arrive to the menu, I can notice that the game is very slow. When I go to the lobby, I am redirected to my desktop and the Red Orchestra 2 crash report window is displayed. I send report, try to launch the game and go to the lobby, but again I am redirected to desktop with the crash report window displayed.
What I have already done:
- I navigated to your Technical Support forums and did the general support info tutorial. Tried everything in it but didn't solve the problem. Apparently, nobody had this problem. In any case, I wasn't able to find a topic about it on your forums.
- I uninstalled and reinstalled the game, nothing changes.
- I tried to join a server through the steam lobby (right click on steam icon -> servers -> change filters -> Red Orchestra 2 -> select name of the server and join it), I managed to join a server but when I did that I had terrible performances (beetween 10 and 30 FPS) + many big lags.
- I disabled my antivirus, changed nothing.
Other informations:
- My internet connexion works fine, and my other steam games too.
- I have the same PC (hardware and software) than before, I changed nothing.
- I deffraged my hard drive, did some scans to check if that wasn't a virus.
- I asked some people I know if they have the same problem, but apparently I am the only one.
- A steam topic exists. We are four (including me) who have exactly the same problem. I also precise that I was never banned by the Steam Guard. Here is the link : http://ift.tt/1rPFyxG
