Why? Because look at Killing Floor 1.
A computer that could adequately run KF1 when it was first released in 2009 (on simple maps like KF-BioticsLab, KF-Farm, etc.) can barely run it now (on complex heavy maps like KF-Departed, KF-HillbillyHorror, etc.).
Not to mention that new voices couldn't be added to KF1 because of the memory constraints.
Tripwire, nip this in the bud this time around. If the game requires 2GB of RAM, say it requires 3GB, etc. etc.
