These issues have essentially festered since the beginning of this tournament and I think it's about time, given the recent results of the 2nd run of KFG, to talk about the issues that need to be addressed. This tournament is not a scam, and this idea is not the point of the thread.
I'm going to go through these points and their implications in an official tournament:
To start I'll discuss the first point. As far as I can tell, every complaint has been swept away. This is not to say that it was absolutely intentional - I agree that some were in a thread that was for sign up. But even when they weren't, all criticism and complaints were just straight up responded with "please use PM". I'm absolutely sure everyone who either participated or watched would prefer public discourse, thus the need of this thread.
The second point alludes to the most recent tournament results. The team HDR was disqualified because a member of the KFG tournament staff accused one player of aimbotting. SkyWindRushing was the person they had accused. I would like to take time to present quickly the following links:
1, 2, 3, 4, 5.
This man doesn't cheat. He has spent almost 5 thousand hours in this game getting better and better. I honestly find it baffling that, because someone is so good, they're not only accused of cheating, but are disqualified from a tournament for it. He even makes mistakes in this footage that KFG probably used to convince themselves he's "too good". Ones that an aimbot wouldn't.
It also is very interesting how, because they're disqualified, the KFG staff will not be giving out any prizes as the 2nd and 3rd place teams both wiped in their games.
The 3rd point is quite odd as it should never happen.
I've watched KFG since the beginning and I noticed the following as something that was very suspicious:
This is the issue with hosts and judges participating in their own competitions. Stuff like this looks very suspicious. Flux's response has been constantly "I've given my word" but that simply isn't good enough.
And here's my closing. I hope that Jedi Mart and staff would rethink how this tournament should be handled, given the fact that they are sponsored by TWI. You are representing them and I'm sure that they expect you to keep your games fair and balanced. I hope that, instead of seeing the dismissive responses people have been seeing throughout the runtime of this tournament, I see actual responses with positive change.
This is not a thread to mock or discredit KFG, this thread is to bring up issues within it in open discourse. So please, don't treat it like one.
I'm going to go through these points and their implications in an official tournament:
- All complaints are handled via PM and PM only. Behind closed doors; no debate and completely out of the public eye.
- Disqualifying players with no reason real reason given. I will elaborate on this one to display why it actually is relevant.
- One of the hosts, judges and the writer of the mutator competed in the tournament twice, which is a pretty clear conflict of interest.

I've watched KFG since the beginning and I noticed the following as something that was very suspicious:
- The team Fluxiserver first joined this tournament for KFG 1 and played on the Beginner circuit.
- The team wiped and, following that, Flux joined the tournament staff but was still scheduled to play in the veteran tournament.
- Directly after, the map rotation is restricted to 3 maps, midway through the tournament.
- It was pretty obvious no teams were made aware of this change. Then it was noticed that Fluxiserver's team was only practicing the 3 maps when going into the veteran tournament, while all other teams were practicing all official maps.
This is the issue with hosts and judges participating in their own competitions. Stuff like this looks very suspicious. Flux's response has been constantly "I've given my word" but that simply isn't good enough.
