Banzai

Behold,

The power of Banzai!

Banzai discussion?

  1. Is Banzai health too much?

  2. Should flamethrowers be taken off of Allies-Defensive maps?

  3. Favorite Banzai weapon?

  4. Banzai (and Anti-Banzai) strategy?

I don't think Banzai health should be nerfed to normal, but if the above pic is a possibility (I got this damage model without bandaging, mind you) it is too much. If the current Banzai health is "2" and non-Banzai health is "1", I'd say that it should start at "1.25" and increase by quarters for every member in the Banzai by ".25" until it gets to "2". SL's/TL's should start out at "1.50" when in Banzai considering they are more important in leading a Banzai. .

Flamethrowers on defense are cheap, but they are also the natural equalizer against a Banzai. It comes down to whether or not the mechanical advantage of semiautomatic/automatic weapons equals the Banzai, and whether or not a flamethrower tips the balance too far. Personally I'd say reduce any Allies-Defensive map flamethrower count to 1, that should make it so they can't be at the front of every part of any objective to torch anyone who comes by.

I personally like the suicide grenade rush for Banzai, makes for great hilarity when you explode and kill an entire squad in a bunker. :D

If I'm getting shot at I'll initiate Banzai because I know I'll survive much more damage than I would normally, and then hide behind cover to heal or move. When Banzai-ing I'll zig-zag, dance, or run circles around enemies until they have to reload. Then just go in for the easy kill.

When facing a Banzai I'll try to pull a grenade and time it to where it will explode in the Banzai-er's path, because I feel that shooting is mostly ineffective when alone. If in a group I'll just shoot with everyone else.
