Absurd Transport

After a long time of not having played Barashka I played a round today. I think the map looks great but as troop transports were added I noticed that most of the time they're not being used. Well they are a perfect target for the AT-class and why use them if you can spawn on SL instead right into the capzone. Quicker, easier and safer! It is much more effective this way and if you have a SL that cowards in a safe corner the whole map you can do this all day long.

Am I the only one that thinks this seriously compromises gameplay?



I mean if my team clears an objective of all enemies but the SL they just spawn on him and possibly kill us all. So what should be a good move by us might be punished seconds later. So we need to find the SL and kill him so he stops breeding. Good old WWII tactics, right?;)



Gone are the days where you sat in a troop transport filled up with men hoping to get through without the vehicle blowing up.



I say it again: Spawn on SL is the malignant tumor of RS/RO2! I thank TWI for the transports but sadly they are often a poor choice. Why drive when you can materialize right where you need to go? Some maps need transports and then again not really which I find a shame. Spawn on SL renders them almost obsolete. Yes there might be a few uses left for them.



Can server admins not turn this abomination off now? I wish there were some servers that have this off just to see how it plays out. Apartments would surely get better, well imho every map is better with this lame feature turned off.

But I guess people like convenience and don't want to be punished for mistakes which I find just as absurd as the transports.
