Mouse button failure

I use a Logitech TrackMan Marble mouse. It's an ambidextrous trackball mouse with four buttons on it (2 primary (left/right click) and 2 secondary (scroll up/scroll down)).

My button configuration for the mouse is such:
Left click: Fire Primary
Right click: Walk Forward
ThumbMouseButton1: Toggle Flashlight
ThumbMouseButton2: Melee Bash

Here's the problem, my ThumbMouseButton1 & 2 will fail quite regularly it seems. Usually I can just quickly ALT + TAB out and jump back in and functionality will return. However, recently, this has not been the case and functionality is not returning whatsoever. It's becoming very frustrating. I don't have the resources or privileges to fully troubleshoot the issue on all ends, of course. I'd appreciate it if TWI could look into this for those of us that use non-traditional keybind setups such as mine. I can't tell if this is driver issue on my side, a protocol issue on the game side, or a communication lapse between my computer and the server(s). To help show the issue, I've included an image of my mouse with the afflicted buttons highlighted. Again, if you could look into this with a possible fix/patch those of us that use this sort of setup would be greatly appreciated.
